Janet M. Nsabata holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and Psychology from the University of Zambia, and a bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Zambia, with a major in Corporate and Commercial Law. Among the key areas of study Janet has undertaken and applied in her support role to the practice are taxation, company law, banking and securities law and investment law.
Having Joined the Firm in her formative year of University, Janet has amassed experience in legal research especially in corporate law and property and conveyancing matters.
Relevant key assignments undertaken
- Security Perfection work for clients in the Banking Sector- including drafting and registration of Mortgages, Further Charges, Debentures, and Assignments of Receivables;
- Processing of Applications for Zambia Development Agency Investment Licenses;
- Preparing Receivers’ Reports to the Registrar of Companies and other Corporate Insolvency compliance requirements;
- Incorporation of Legal Entities, including Trust Funds and Companies on behalf of Clients;
- Company Secretarial and General Compliance Work;
- Assisting in Conveyance Transactions- including drafting of Contracts of Sale and Deeds of Assignments, and obtaining of necessary licenses and tax clearance on behalf of clients; and
- Drafting civil litigation process.
