Victor Musabula is a committed corporate-commercial lawyer, skilled at applying and integrating the law for established business owners and entrepreneurs. Victor draws upon his extensive experience both from being In-house Legal Counsel and Company Secretary for Konkola Copper Mines Plc which is one of Zambia’s largest mining houses and several years in private practice in corporate advisory and banking and finance transactions.
His legal practice includes the representation of both established and emerging businesses in mergers, acquisition, divestiture and related reorganization transactions, including the structuring, negotiating and documenting of a vast array commercial transaction as well as banking and finance work.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Investments and Taxation and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the University of Zambia. He is a member of the Law Association of Zambia and is admitted to the Zambian Bar to practice before the High Court, Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Zambia.
Relevant key assignments undertaken
- Served as Legal Counsel and Company Secretary for Konkola Copper Mines Plc and was responsible for providing legal support and ensuring adherence to good corporate governance and supporting the board members in the discharge of their responsibilities;
- Legal advisor to a syndication involving ZMW 850 million to the Food Reserve Agency;
- Reviewing corporate governance procedures for Betternow Finance Company Limited and undertaking company restructuring;
- Provision of legal services to Kukula Capital Plc on numerous capital raising ventures;
- Legal advisors to the Lusaka Securities Exchange Plc on various matters including corporate restructuring of the organisation.
